Lay-Z-Boy is the new Bates.

This thing rules. Extended HD springer, cool pipes, z bars and the zig-zag guy; all the makings of a great chopper

Skinny is the new Fat.

This thing kind of blows my mind every-time I look at it. Not because it's crazy but because it's not crazy, dig? Stoled'd from the COC.

Fun at Lane's with the Wheeler

I've been kind of holding off on posting any pics of what I'm working on but I guess the cat's out of the bag. It's a little different... but the same, sort of. I'm not going to put too much about it here since it's going to be sort of chronicled in a certain classy magazine... maybe.
Anyway, here are some goofy pics from the past couple of weeks.

First is Lane and myself making some room for the new (not 45) mill. Did you know a 45 makes like 22 hp? That's just not going to turn the L60-15 rears I'm running, so I opted for something with a bit more "Go"... hence the crazy frame mods.

I started off thinking on running a Denver's 25" over front that I had but decided on a stretched inline with twisted fronts instead.

Bars are still, uhh... up-in-the-air... I know, I know, bad pun. I really like these bars I got from Josh Nowell of Death Science. Not sure if they're quite right for a 2-seater but they'd work out great if I decide to go solo.

This is Lane modeling them high... and yes, he's the only one that can reach them.

But seriously, maybe something more like this.

Anyway, that's about it... We now return you to your regularly scheduled blograming.

Perfection and Inspiration (Art Himsl Trike Bodies)

Let me start out by posting the trike that got my fire burning in the first place. Art himsl created these bodies but they sold like shit so he stopped making them and sold the original molds. Where they are now is a mystery even to Art. I even went so far as to call him to find out as much as I could about the bodies. He really didn't have too much to tell me that isn't out there on the web. He was super nice though and invited me to the shop any time I'm in town. He gave me a lead but it went no-where as that guy had no idea what happened to the dude he sold them to. I kept researching for off and on for a few yearrs but haven't found out anything else on them.
Some of these pics were pulled from the MC ART BLOG. Killer artist and super knowledgeable!

The search continues...

THANKS MAN!

Damion is seriously one of the coolest people I have been fortunate enough to meet over the last few years and his blogs are nothing short of amazing. We seem to share the same brain in a lot of ways so when I woke up this morning to find the invite to post on this blog, I was truly honored. Damion probably doesn't want to post pics of his own trike project so I will because he's off to a killer start and I'm super jealous. You all  can say you read it here first when I say, "Damion, if you ever decide to sell it you better ask me first and a little ahead of time so I can save the bread!"
I don't have a trike but am looking for a project like this so if anyone has any leads or 60's/70's style trike parts for sale hit Damion or I up especially anything Himsl body related. By the way, you won't see shit bag trikes on this blog unless we decide to make fun of them!

Josh sends in these great pics of a trike owned by his pops back in the day. His dad built and owned a few different wheelers over the years. Looks to be vdub powered? That's alright, it has a super cool feel to it. Gotta love that paneling. Thanks Josh!
